Thanks to one of our well-informed customers (you know who you are Kate 🙂 ), we’ve seen a new circulation of emails that appear to have come directly from Microsoft Canada in Mississauga, Ontario. As I tell all my customers, Microsoft would NEVER spend the time to research YOUR email address . How would they get it? Let’s face it. When you bought your computer, you may have purchased it through a big box store, and you may have even given the store your email address to receive future store specials, but you didn’t also supply Microsoft with your personal details!
Any emails you get that say they are from Microsoft, asking you to click a link, especially a link with a .exe (executable program) in the name is a NO-NO!
Here’s the latest example of what NOT to click on…….(PS – I disabled the link in the message below just in case 🙂 )
